We received the good news this week that planning permission has been granted by Wycombe District Council for improvements to a Buckinghamshire bungalow.
The owner approached us because they felt that the layout of their home could be substantially improved. After a full assessment of the potential for changing and enlarging the internal spaces, we recommended a design that saw the removal of an existing lean-to conservatory, and use of the vacated space to construct a modest extension. This will result in an updated dwelling with larger, more practical rooms for modern living.
We are very pleased this month to welcome a new Architectural Technician to the PCMS Design team. Jakub joins us on a work placement for 3 months whilst studying for his RIBA Part II qualification at Oxford Brookes University, during which he is specialising in International Architectural Regeneration and Development.
Jakub gained his RIBA Part 1 qualification following 3 years of study at the University of Brighton.
Jakub will be working on a number of our educational projects and gaining experience in project and construction management during regular visits to site to check on progress.
“This is a great opportunity for me to broaden my architectural experience within a multi-disciplinary practice, and I am looking forward to working on a variety of different schemes.”
