We are very pleased to have recently completed another scheme at Ivel Valley School in Biggleswade, our fifth for the School in two different locations. This time we project managed the refurbishment of an old Technology suite so that the space could be better utilised as a general purpose classroom.
Old tools and workshop equipment was removed and replaced with desks and storage cupboards. The teaching spaces and adjacent corridor were smartened up with new windows, doors and a lick of paint, and the School is now pleased to have a room for mixed use on a site where space is at a premium.
This is one part of a larger scheme to improve, enhance and ultimately extend the secondary site, and we have recently also obtained planning consent for extending the school with the aim of improving the entrance and administrative areas, and also adding three new classrooms.
Headteacher Julie Mudd said: “We began working with PCMS in mid-2011, and since then have completed several projects with their invaluable help. We have been able to rely on them for high quality service and advice at all stages, and our school facilities are hugely improved as a result. We are continuing to work with PCMS for future projects, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them; their friendly and professional approach makes them a pleasure to work with.”
