Smart New Classroom at Shefford Lower School

Tuesday, June 26th, 2012

A new classroom has just opened at Shefford Lower School in Bedfordshire. This is the third project we have completed on site, following the construction of a free-standing pre-school and children’s centre building, and also a staff meeting room a few years ago.

The School has an expanding school roll and identified a need for an additional classroom. We were asked by the School to conduct a feasibility study to explore the potential options to extend the building. A number of construction locations were identified, but the feasibility process identified that one of the options to extend at the back of the school was the most suitable.

We administered the procurement process, produced a specification of works, project managed the builders, recommended the internal colour scheme and arranged the fixtures and fittings, which included a purpose-built teaching wall.
